Fieldbook & Co is a private journal for shooting, stalking and the season. If something isn't right, or you have an idea, we would be glad to hear from you.

When you write, it helps to include your device model, the iOS version and the app version (shown in Settings in the app).

Frequently asked questions

Where is my book kept?

On your device only. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. That means we cannot see your entries, and we cannot restore them if they are lost.

How do I keep a backup?

Keep your iPhone backed up to iCloud or your computer; the app's data is included in a normal device backup.

Can I move my book to a new phone?

Yes, by restoring your new phone from a backup of the old one.

Are the season dates correct?

The dates are compiled from official sources such as NatureScot, legislation.gov.uk, GOV.UK, BASC and the GWCT. They are a convenience for your diary, not legal advice. Dates, exceptions and local orders change, so always check the official source before you go out.

Does the app give legal or firearms advice?

No. Fieldbook & Co is a private record of lawful country sports. It does not advise on firearms or the law, and it does not give anyone permission to shoot.

Why is the Explore directory empty?

Explore is new. Listings will appear as businesses join. If you run a ground, shooting school or country business and would like to be listed, email us.

Is the app free?

Yes. Fieldbook & Co is free to download and use.
